Stress Awareness Month 2024…

April is Stress Awareness Month; aimed at raising awareness of the stigma surrounding stress and mental health in and out the workplace.

In 2022/23, there were 875,000 reported cases of work-related stress, depression, or anxiety*. This statistic emphasises the importance of prioritising employees’ mental well-being and providing them with a safe and confidential space to discuss their workplace concerns and struggles.

At Strata, we take pride in our approach towards staff well-being. We encourage our employees to use our opt-in Private Health Care Cover Scheme and our confidential counselling helpline whenever they need it.

Something as simple as going for a walk at lunchtime has been widely proven to increase wellbeing and reduce stress levels** – so our team are currently on a mission to prepare for our upcoming 15-mile charity hike taking place 15th May. Strata team members are going on twice-weekly lunchtime training walks, exploring different 2-mile routes around the Head Office locality, as a way of getting out of the office and supporting each other’s preparation for the 15 miles that will be hiked across the Kent coastline next month, all in aid of fundraising for the Heart of Kent Hospice Charity.
