My Shining Star Children’s Cancer Charity is a remarkable organisation devoted to supporting families as they navigate the challenges of childhood cancer. Offering both practical assistance and emotional guidance, they provide invaluable help during an incredibly difficult time.
This year, the charity has re-launched its heartwarming initiative, the Christmas Gift Tag Appeal, where businesses receive gift tags and select one to match with a thoughtful gift for a child in need. These gifts are then delivered to children at Great Ormond Street Hospital and other young cancer patients across London, bringing joy and hope to these brave warriors during the festive season.
At Strata, we are very proud to be taking part in this meaningful initiative, with members of our team all coming together with enthusiasm and generosity, selecting gift tags from the Christmas tree in our office and encouraging everyone to get involved, purchasing and wrapping their gifts for the children on their tags, and bringing them into the office last week for distribution.
Throughout 2024 we have made giving back a top priority, organising numerous events this year including bake sales, community education engagement events, office fundraisers, a sponsored hike, and participating in charity football matches, all aimed at supporting initiatives as chosen by our staff, including Heart of Kent Hospice, Riverside SEN School and My Shining Star.
Looking ahead to next year, we are excited to continue our charitable efforts by inviting our team to get voting for their chosen causes to support in 2025. We are committed to doing even more to positively impact the community and help those in need.
