Project Description

Strata were appointed to deliver decoration works at a prominent high-end retail store based on Kings Road, London.

Acquired by Vivienne Westwood in 1971, the eye-catching property was previously the birth place of the initial ideas and designs of the iconic British fashion designer, who is renowned for her unique collections which have continually evolved over the decades.

In the past, each new collection came paired with a new store design, up until 1980 when the store was redecorated and renamed for a final time.

Using Johnstone Aqua Satin in the eye-catching shade ‘Whale Song’, our experienced Strata refurbishment team spent 3 days carefully applying two coats of paint to both the interior and exterior walls of the iconic ‘Worlds End’ store.

Our conscientious operatives took care in identifying any cracks in the wood, filling these to give the walls a smooth and flawless finish.
Prior to starting works, safety barriers were installed to segregate the works from members of the public on the busy high street, with clear warning signage fixed in place to provide essential information.
